David F. Toler, P.E. – 2013 Co-Engineer of the Year Award (PSPE)

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE) has awarded Anthracite/Lehigh Valley ASME Section Member, David F. Toler, P.E.,  the 2013 Co-Engineer of the Year Award for outstanding achievements in the area of professional society activities.  David is the President and Founder of Forensic Engineering Science, Inc. of Easton, Pennsylvania.

David L. Berger – J Hall Taylor Medal

The Anthracite/Lehigh Valley Section of ASME is very proud of our own David L. Berger who has been awarded the 2013 J Hall Taylor Medal for extraordinary leadership and professionalism in consensus building and global recognition of ASME codes and standards for pressure equipment; and for dedication to the integrity of the ASME codes and standards development process.  Congratulations!

 

Richard A. Merz – Student Section Advisor Award

The Anthracite/Lehigh Valley Section of ASME is very proud of our own Richard Merz who has been awarded the 2013 Student Section Advisor Award.   For more than three decades of service advising Lafayette College's ASME Student Section, inspiring students through design projects and competitions, enriching education beyond the classroom and instilling a thirst for lifelong learning, fostering joint events with ASME's Anthracite-Lehigh Valley Section, and promoting continued membership and active participation in the Society.  Congratulations!

Louis E. Hayden – Melvin R. Green Award

Anthracite/Lehigh Valley Section’s Louis E. Hayden, Jr., P.E., (2009 Melvin R. Green Medal Recipient) was honored in 2009.  He was awarded the Melvin R. Green Codes & Standards Medal for extraordinary leadership and professionalism in consensus building and global recognition of ASME codes and standards for pressure equipment; and for dedication to the integrity of the ASME codes and standards development process.  

Joel Feldstein – J Hall Taylor Medal & Dedicated Service Award

An ASME Fellow and recipient of the Society's J Hall Taylor Medal (2008) and ASME's Dedicated Service Award (2001) Joel has authored a number of publications including a chapter on welding and brazing qualifications for the Companion Guide to the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and is the holder of six patents.
