About ASME Cal Inland

Welcome to the California Inland Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers or ASME.

This site gives contact information for the Cal-Inland Section officers, a list of upcoming Section meetings, useful links for Section members, links to Section member’s web pages, local job postings, downloadable versions of the monthly section newsletter the “Cal-Inlander”, and historical information about the section.

The California Inland Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers was established on November 15th, 1973 as “An organization for promoting the arts and sciences in the field of mechanical engineering”.

To that end, the section continues to hold informative meetings and tours of local industries as well as providing support to the three colleges and universities with engineering curriculums in the section boundaries.

The section roughly covers the geographical areas boarded on the West by San Dimas and Diamond Bar and continuing east to the Nevada boarder including Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The Cal-Inland Section received the “Most Improved Section Award” for the 1998-1999 year from Region IX of ASME.
