Greetings from the Charleston ASME Section…. Kinda. We’re trying to restart the section. We’ve been inactive for a couple years. If you’re still in the area and would like to be involved in the local section, please contact me at edhumble@knology.net. We need any and all input but are especially interested in input from younger engineers.

Best Regards,

Ed Humble

ASME Charleston Members,
We need volunteers who can offer some support, no matter how small, for
the next year. Now is the time we select new leadership for the following
ASME year (JULY 1, 2016 - JUNE 30, 2017).
Included a link to the open spots below:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1rokbnqWN7nWVZQUllFeEMtNlR2Y3V1cGVWN3lrUUVDekZB

Some perks of being an ASME leader:
- Potential travel to ASME conferences and leader development programs
- Work within an allotted budget and help take the section further
- Lead events and meetings by linking up with local companies and
engineering professionals
- Connect with local Citadel ASME student chapter
- Setup public outreach events for giving back to the community
I have volunteered as a leader with ASME since college, and it has helped
me network with professionals in the area and region outside my company.
Which is extremely helpful in finding new opportunities.
Please contact JJ (jjcillie@asme.org) or Steve (shollingsworth@asme.org)
if you're interested in a position.
Thanks,
-JJ and Charleston ASME Board Members
