  • Hanford VIT Plant Presentation

Please join us Wednesday, April 30th for a presentation on the Hanford
Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP), also known as the VIT
Plant. Bechtel will be providing an overview of the mission and function
of the project. Mechanical and welding engineers from Bechtel will be on
hand to answer any technical questions that you may have.

This will be an excellent opportunity to hear about the VIT Plant
firsthand from those who are designing it. Feel free to invite your
    friends and family.

The VIT Plant is a one-of-a-kind project which, when operational, will
process and stabilize 56 million gallons of radioactive waste stored in
177 aging underground storage tanks. Its mission is critical to the
Hanford cleanup as more than one-third of those underground tanks have
    already leaked.
