  • Protective Coatings Joint AWS Meeting

We’re kicking off the year with a joint dinner meeting with AWS on
Protective Coatings. Covered topics will include welding considerations
for protective coating application, surface preparation techniques,
testing and remediation of invisible contaminants, extending the life of
protective coatings, and Non-Destructive Examination of welds after
    coating application.

Jared Satterlund lives in Post Falls, Id. and operates Satterlund Testing
and Inspection, specializing in welding and coatings inspection services.
ST&I has worked on projects throughout the United States and Canada; from
Airports to Waste Water Treatment Facilities. Amongst other
certifications Jared is an AWS CWI and NACE Coatings Inspector- Level 3,
giving him a perspective on how the nuanced interrelation of asset
creation (welding) and asset protection (protective coatings) can have
dramatic impacts on the service life on a project.
