Welcome to the Columbia Basin Section

This is the new website of the Columbia Basin Section of ASME.  We will be posting meeting notices and other section information here, so please check back regularly.

Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that promotes the art, science, and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences throughout the world. The core values of ASME are rooted in its mission to better enable mechanical engineering practitioners to contribute to the well-being of humankind.

The Columbia Basin Section was organized in 1951. The headquarters city is Richland, WA and the current territory includes the Washington State Counties of Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat, Benton, Franklin, and Walla Walla.
