Tulsa ASME Mid-Continent Executive Board Meeting

In Attendance:

Fred Schell - Treasurer
Wade Wilson - Secretary

The meeting was called to order by Mikel Janitz. The meeting venue was the Visions Buffet Restaurant inside the River Spirit.

Mikel announced the results of voting for officer positions. The current officers will serve another term in their positions. This information has been communicated to ASME headquarters.

Fred provided a detailed review of the financial statements. A motion was made to accept the financial statement by Mikel and it was unanimously approved.

Fred turned the conversation to the budget needs of 2018 and provided a handout of financial guidelines. A few line items such as ‘college outreach’, ‘student SPDC subsidy’ and ‘activity expenses’ and others will get minor adjustments.

Mikel then engaged the group in a lively discussion related to event planning in the coming year. He collected several ideas and also will be working to make inquiries about the possibility of joint meetings with other professional societies like ASHRAE.

Motion to adjourn meeting made and seconded.
