Increased Reimbursement Offer to ASME Long Island Section Members
In reflecting on this year’s momentous 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the ASME LI Section members are proud that the Apollo Lunar Module was designed and built by Grumman here on Long Island and that the LM has been previously designated as an ASME National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark.
To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, the Cradle of Aviation Museum is holding several activities, among them the June 6th “Apollo at 50 Anniversary Dinner.” In recognition of the role that Long Island engineers played in the design and construction of the landmark Apollo Lunar Module, and to make participation more affordable, the ASME Long Island Section is increasing its reimbursement offer from $50 to $100 for up to twenty of its members who purchase a ticket and attend this dinner. We hope to see you there!
