We will also discuss the tremendous trust placed upon design professionals by the general public and how ethical violations erode that privilege. Learning objectives are: understanding the basic concepts of moral philosophy; review specific theories that shape the rules and regulations of design professionals; discussion of the resulting public expectations; and review of case studies highlighting ethical dilemmas and applicable regulations.
