    We would like to cordially invite you to the Industry-Academia Collaboration in Advanced Manufacturing Virtual Workshop (https://pwd.aa.ufl.edu/nsf-advmfgworkshop/).  This workshop is a three-day online workshop (sponsored by NSF) designed to encourage more fundamental collaborative research efforts between the academic manufacturing community and industry. By participating in this workshop, you will have opportunities to

    • Explore research roadmaps for selected Manufacturing USA Institutes
    • Identify future research needs in the US
    • Explore funding programs and mechanisms
    • Identify challenges and benefits of convergent and Industry-Academia collaboration
    • Meet and share your ideas with key people from Manufacturing USA Institutes, federal agencies, and NSF
    • Explore opportunities for initiating new collaborations

    Schedule:

    May 19, 2021, 15:30–17:00: Online networking
    May 20, 2021, 13:00–17:00: Workshop 1—Online
    May 21, 2021, 13:00–17:15: Workshop 2—Online


    Registration:
    Participation is free of charge, but space constraints require that the workshop be limited to 90 participants. Please register through the workshop website by March 31, 2021. Participants will be notified with more detailed workshop information by April 17, 2021.

    ASME is soliciting nominations and applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief of ASME’s new fully Open Access Journal to serve the global mechanical engineering community.
