This is my capstone project at Wentworth Institute of Technology. My team and I wanted to work on a system that involved both mechanical components and electronic devices. We decided to create a system that would dispense the correct volume of liquids using solenoid valves controlled by a data acquisition unit. This application worked wonders with adult beverages where more than one ingredients were often used.

The objective of this project was to use heat exchangers in some way. I worked in a group environment and we decided to use geothermal energy to increase the temperate of a driveway so it would melt ice and snow. We were able to prove our application worked in SolidWorks using the flow simulation.

The purpose of this project was use different senors in conjunction with a Data Acquisition Unit. I worked in a team of three and used photocell, thermocouple and a humidity sensor to detect light intensity, temperature and humidity in a makeshift greenhouse. We used these data and controlled each environmental factors using mechanical components such as blinds, windows and a evaporator. We learned how analog signals can be converted into digital signals that can be used by a microprocessor.
