Engineer V  
AECOM, August 2013 to Present

• Completed Conceptual Design for all HVAC Systems of a 160MW Small Modular Nuclear Reactor • Worked as Lead for a Fuel Pool Heat Exchanger Replacement Engineering Change Request (ECR) • Developed procurement specification for Fuel Pool Heat Exchangers • Worked as Mechanical Lead for a Toxic Gas Analyzer upgrade which included analysis of current sampling pump, a cost analysis on different upgrades and the selection of a new sampling pump and HEPA filter • Worked as Lead for Flood Protection Barrier Extension ECRs • Worked as Lead on Reactor Water Cleanup (RWCU) ECRs which included installing a slow pressurization line for Filter Demineralizers, installing a Resin Slurry Prep Skid, installing Internal Flow Distribution in the Filter Demineralizer tanks and installing a globe valve for throttling backwash water • Developed a hydraulic analysis of a slow pressurization line to ensure pressurization time was within design basis and to size the restriction orifice • Performed scheduling and budgeting tasks associated with all of the above ECRs

• Lead Mechanical Engineer responsible for Radioactive Sludge Solidification System on a Nuclear Waste Cleanup Project which required development of the specification and flow diagrams and establishment of code requirements • Assisted in designing and worked as part of the Risk Analysis Team for the Water Systems and the Water Treatment System on a Nuclear Waste Cleanup Project • Performed calculations to size pumps to be used in a Nuclear Waste Water Transfer System • Performed calculations for heat transfer from a tank vault, tank buoyancy, tank vault cover flexural strength and flood volumes • Worked with field personnel resolving Requests for Information (RFIs) and developing brief specifications for commodity items • Developed supporting engineering documentation for a re-baseline estimate • Developed a System Design Package (SDP) for the Engineered Safety Features Ventilation System of a Nuclear Power Plant • Reviewed System Design Packages for all other ventilation systems in a nuclear facility. • Used ASHRAE, SMACNA and AMCA to prepare and check cooling/heating load, airflow capacity, ductwork pressure drop and equipment selection calculations • Performed design verifications for Ductwork and Instrumentation Drawings (D&IDs) and SDPs for ventilation systems
