experience

Clinical Associate Professor
University of Texas at Dallas, January 2016 to Present, Texas United States

Dani joined UTD as Clinical Associate Professor in January of 2016 after teaching as an Adjunct Professor here at UTD since 2009. His background includes two decades of professional engineering practice in the energy industry where he has held numerous positions. Dr. Fadda has worked in product development and has developed patented products for chemical, petrochemical, and nuclear applications. He has authored training programs for new separation and filtration applications engineers who work in the oil and gas industry. Dani has also worked as general manager, nuclear products, where he was responsible for worldwide business development, contract negotiations, and project execution. He was a project sponsor for senior design projects at UTD and another university. He is involved with professional organizations and was named the 2016 ASME North Texas Engineer of the Year. Dani is delighted to serve on TUEE’s Faculty Professional Practice Council (FPPC). He teaches freshman students taking the introduction to mechanical engineering cornerstone courses. He is also a faculty advisor of senior design capstone course. Dr. Fadda is passionate about teaching young mechanical engineering students and guiding them to find successful careers in mechanical engineering. He wants UTD’s graduates to be the best candidates for engineering practice.
