Conversion design of the "San Hang Gong 2" semi-submersible deck barge. Funded by CCCC Third Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd. This deck barge had been utilized to successfully install the 34 offshore wind turbines in Shanghai Donghai Bridge Wind Farm, which is the first commercial offshore wind farm in China.

January, 1999 - August, 2000
From 1999 to 2000, when in the Friede Goldman Halter-Yantai Raffles Shipyard, I worked as the shipyard side Project Engineering Manager in the detailed design and production of a 3800T heavy derrick pipe-lay ship for Friede Goldman Halter, Inc. (the main contractor) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (the final ship owner).

On May 1999, I won a second class Science and Technology Advancement Award bestowed by Yantai municipal people's government for designing a 245GT all round swiveling Duckpeller tugboat.
