  • ASME Milwaukee Technical Seminar - March 24th, 2018

    All members are welcome to the upcoming seminar for continuing education and professional development.  There is a provision to earn credits for those who will need professional development hours for their Professional Engineer license renewal.  The nominal rates have been determined to defray the costs of hosting the seminar.  Please feel free to invite others such as SAE and IEEE members who might also take advantage of the PDHs that can be earned at a very minimal expense.  We have excellent speakers lined up to address interesting topics.  The required 2 PDHs on ethics are included in this seminar.

    Full Seminar (Includes 5 PDHs):  $100

    Full Seminar (No PDHs):  $35

    Individual Session(s) (Up to 3) (Includes PDHs):  $25 each

    The seminar will take place at the MSOE Grohmann Tower, 4th floor conference room, Milwaukee, WI on Saturday, March 24, 2017, with the following schedule:

    7:30-8:20 AM Set-up, registration and breakfast

    8:20-8:30 AM Welcome by the Section Chair, Bryan Eskra and seminar coordinator Subha Kumpaty

    8:30-9:20 AM Session 1 - Dynamic Test and Measurement of Rotating Machinery in Industry by Nathan Brinkman, Briggs & Stratton

    9:25-10:15 AM Session 2 - Systems Engineering of Materials for On-board Hydrogen Storage for PEM Fuel Cells in Automotive Applications by Dr. Maruthi Devarakonda, GE Power

    10:15-10:35 AM Break

    10:35-11:25 Session 3 - Probing pH (potential of hydrogen) level of an Aqueous Solution using a Microwave Spectroscopy (MWS) S11 Reflection method at micro/nanoscale by Dr. Chung Hoon Lee, Marquette University

    11:30-12:20 Session 4 - Engineering Ethics by Dr. Subha Kumpaty, MSOE

    12:30-1:20 PM Luncheon Session on Ethics Case Studies
