This month, the ASME Milwaukee Section is planning a tour of GE Healthcare's Advanced Manufacturing Lab in Waukesha, WI. We will also learn about their products and see how they are designed and manufactured.
The first part of the evening will include a presentation by Jimmie Beacham, the Chief Engineer for Manufacturing Technology for GE Healthcare Global Supply Chain. Mr. Beacham's presentation will be a product introduction and then we will tour the production lines where we will get an overview of how CT Scanners, PET Imagers, and X-Ray components are designed and manufactured.
The second part of the evening will be a tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center, where we will see a variety of new technologies including inspection, collaborative automation, augmented reality, digital manufacturing and additive manufacturing.
