  • Tour of Husco Automotive - Summary - 2/13/19

On Wednesday, Feb. 13th, 2019, ASME Milwaukee members and guests were treated to an excellent tour of Husco Automotive in Waukesha.  Our first presenter, Jeff Hein (VP Quality), detailed the global structure of Husco which comprises a total of 1400 employees.  Of these, approximately 390 are based at the Waukesha facility.  Next, Matt Schmitz, described not only the many electro-hydraulic products, but showed detailed videos clearly illustrating how their products work.

Following the two presentations, members toured the highly automated production area.  Since the company operates two shifts, watching the many robots complete complex assembly and coil winding operations was a real treat.  Last stop was the AMG Lab with Ken Brandt describing how they build the complex assembly machines.

Bryan Eskra presents a "Certificate of Appreciation to Mike Weimer (right) advanced manufacturing senior buyer at Husco.

A big THANK YOU to Husco International in Waukesha for taking the time from their schedule to make this tour a unique experience.
