  • ASME - Student Presentations & Elections

    ASME Milwaukee members and guests traveled to UW-Madison on April 17th, 2019.  The evening began with a tour of Maker Space--a 12,000 square foot shop and flex space with a wide range of rapid prototyping equipment.

    Equipment available for student use included 3D printers, laser cutting machines, waterjets, soldering and welding equipment, and vacuum forming equipment shown here.

    Following the tour, Elections--new officers and GLT members for next year--Chair, Douglas Kiesling; Vice Chair, Scott Kramer; Treasurer, Chris Nelson; Secretary, Larry Miley; Group Page Administrator, Allen Perkins; Advisors, Liam Coen, Mohammad Mahinfalah and Joe Pechstein; Seminar Coordinator, Subha Kumpaty; and Past Chair, Bryan Eskra.

    The presentation by UW-Madison for their performance at EFest received first place and $500.  Congratulations!

    Samantha Hoover from MSOE answers questions about their improvements to a corn de-husking machine.  For their efforts, MSOE received a check for $300.

    All the students at "Student Night" posed for this photo.  Congratulations to all for their efforts!  And, thanks to UW-Madison for Pizza and refreshments, and hosting this year's event.
