October 3 – Fluid mechanics, heat transfer, failure theory, machine design
October 10 – Hydraulics, fluid applications, Joints, fasteners, control systems
October 17 – Energy/power system applications, statics, material properties
October 24 – Exam-taking strategies, last-minute questions
The log in instructions for each week’s WebEx session will be posted to the community page. Even though the sessions do not start until September 26, individuals are welcome to sign up for the study group and begin posting questions and comments at any time.
For more information, please contact Dave Soukup, ASME Managing Director, Governance, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The first session will be on Wendesday, September 27 at 8:30 pm Eastern Time.
Here is the schedule of topics:
Sept. 27 – Dynamics, Vibrations, Strength of Materials
Oct. 4 – Failure Theory, Machine Design
Oct. 11 – Joints, Fasteners, Control Systems
Oct. 18 – Statics and Material Properties, Engineering Economics, Project Management
Oct. 25 – Exam-taking strategies, last-minute questions
Perhaps there are some problems you have tried that you don’t understand the solution to. I am hoping that others on the call would be able to provide insights. If no one on the call knows the answer, I will pose the problem to one of the ASME communities and hope someone will respond.
Here is the information needed to log into the session on Wednesday at 8:30 pm Eastern Time. I will be the administrator of the call and can pass control of the screen to your computer using the WebEx system, if you want to display something.
