Title: Senior Project Engineer

Description of Work:

-Manage all the technical aspects of assigned projects in accordance with project
requirements within cost, schedule and risk parameters;
-Provide overall guidance and direction to the company on technical matters
during the development of the project through the course of engineering,
fabrication, delivery, erection and commissioning of the project;
-Interface with company staff, sub-vendors and clients on technical matters during
the development of the project through the course of engineering, fabrication,
delivery, erection and commissioning of the project;
-Monitor the progress of project execution and assist in the development of
schedules and priorities to assure completion of the project within commitments;
-Develop technical documentation packages in sufficient detail and completeness
to permit the procurement of materials and services as required to meet project
requirements within cost, schedule and risk parameters;
-Review company, sub-vendor and client drawings and design data to ensure
proper interface to associated equipment and adherence to overall project
requirements;
-Demonstrates familiarity with a wide range of concepts, practices and principles
of the boiler industry and thorough understanding of company products and
methods;
-Actively pursues advancements in knowledge of concepts, practices and
principles of the boiler industry and associated tools/techniques;
-Identifies areas for company improvements and development to the Management
Team;
-Participates in the strategic development of the department to achieve overall
company goals and targets;
-Leads and coordinates the work and development of peers;
-In addition to directly reporting to the Manager of Project Engineering, this
position also reports to the assigned Project Manager.

Qualifications Requirements:

-Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
-Minimum ten (10) years experience in the industrial/utility steam generation
industry
-Above average steam generator and auxiliary equipment knowledge or equivalent
power industry/capital equipment knowledge
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to consistently share experiences and knowledge during design
development and project planning
-Consistently demonstrates good judgment based on experience during planning,
development and execution of the project
-Consistently demonstrates initiative in developing enhancements and
improvements to the design to reduce cost, complexity and risks
-Consistently assists in the development of standards and methods that improve
standardization and reduce potential for errors in project execution
