I have lost track of this section but would like to be included in announcements of group activities. I am currently retired from the Trans Alaska Pipeline with varied interests. Claude Robinson

I will make sure you get on the list.  Sorry, I didn't spot this until now.  Can I ask if you are closer to Bellingham or to Everrett?

Well it is October. Just wanted to remind folks that October (or earlier) is the time for ASME membership renewal. If you can please add a modest donation for the local Section to your dues renewal statement. If you have misplaced your dues statement, just call 1-800-THE-ASME and talk to the nice folks their and they will walk you through the process, or go to the following URL on this website and do it on-line.

Renew Membership Membership Resource for Engineers

Joining ASME is the most important connection a current or future mechanical engineer can make. From ASME - the center of Engineering conversations.

I have just a few minutes ago asked that the Salish Sea Section be "opened" so that anyone can view the content of this Group. I want to encourage student members and people from neighboring Sections to check out what we are doing. Bob Schneider, Salish Sea Section Chair

As the Chair of the Salish Sea Section, I thought I would welcome any visitors to this site! My goal over the next year is for the members of our section to have some fun and do things that they find interesting, educational and of value to the profession. We have a fine group of folks who have signed up as officers for the Section, but really want to get as many folks as possible involved so they feel like this is "their ASME." Next weekend will be a Region D ASME conference in Portland near Lloyds Center. What is great about it is that you can participate via a webconference feature and not only can you participate, but you can get some continuing education hours should you need those for either a PE license or certain certifications. If interested go on over to the Region D site to find out the details. Bob
