2015 Student Leader Training Conference

In support of regional events, the Committee on Student Leader Training is offering advanced training for select student section representatives so they can, in turn, train other student leaders in their regions.

This training will include critical skills needed to plan a local student leader training event for multiple universities. The training will be provided during a 2-day conference taking place at the 2015 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) in Houston, Texas (USA) on November 13th -15th.

Student Leader Conference - Student Section Leaders desiring to attend the face-to-face conference are encouraged to apply, and you need not be attending IMECE. In addition to the training for volunteer leadership, ASME Student Members will have the opportunity to network with friends, meet and brainstorm with other attendees.  You will also observe two IMECE sessions as part of the conference.

How do I attend the conference?

  • Apply - Application was necessary and is now past; due to a limited number of spaces available for this event it is full.  But please feel free to stop by and visit if you are already going to be at IMECE!!  We'll have some extra chairs set up for observers.
